At the beginning of the year, on January 2 and 3, the festivities dedicated to the Blessed Child, patron of the locality, are celebrated. Also highlights “El Pucherico”, all February 2, party where they meet young and old in private homes around a meal, usually a pot, but also eat many rosetas (popcorn) and drink and dance all day.

 

On the other hand, it should be noted that in Yegen was held the first Festival of traditional music of the Alpujarra in 1982, according to an original idea of his countryman Don Miguel Pelegrina. In 2006, on the occasion of its 25th anniversary it returned the festival to the village.
